What goes on the shelf

What you send in with the form: the startup’s name, its site, the one-liner, the description, the niche and your X handle. Once a person has approved the entry, all of it is public.

What we keep to ourselves

Keyed hashes of your internet address and of the network it’s on, so that one connection can’t send in more than five entries a day, or one network more than twenty. They’re used for nothing else, and they’re deleted after 24 hours.

What we don’t do

No cookies, no tracking and no accounts.

Who hosts the site

Cloudflare. It may count visits with its Web Analytics, which uses no cookies.

Changes and removals

To have something on your entry changed, or the entry taken down, write to hello@builtshelf.com and say which one it is.
